Platinum Tool opens new plant in Ramos Arizpe

Sentido Comun - Platinum Tool Technologies, a Canadian manufacturer of molds, announced the opening of its new factory in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. after investing $ 1.75 million. The new plant will create 40 jobs and make parts for the automotive industry.


Delta Developments, Soriana begin housing project

Sentido Comun - Real Estate investment and management firm Delta Developments and Organizacion Soriana, Mexico's second largest supermarket chain, will invest 3.100 billion pesos ($262.6 million) ina development project in Nuevo León.


Mexico to allow imports of cars 6-10 years old

Sentido Comun - The Mexican government hopes to soon allow the importation of used vehicles between six and 10 years old which have been manufactured in the U.S. or Canada. The opening is expected to take place on July 1 this year.


America Movil to slash Telmex connection rates

Sentido Comun - The cellular division of America Movil says it will reduce charges for interconnection services to Telefonos de Mexico by more than 50 percent to address goverment reductions prompted by disputes with other operators.

Goldcorp to invest $400 million its Mexican mines

Sentido Comun - Canadian mining company Goldcorp plans to invest $400 million in its three Mexican mines this year to increase mine production by 25 percent. Goldcorp owns the Los Filos, Peñasquito and El Sauzal mines.


South Africa exports white corn to Mexico

International reserves continue to climb

Grupo Mexico plans to boost stake in GAP

Ex-TJ mayor Hank ordered released from prison

AP — A federal judge ordered the release of former Tijuana mayor and gambling magnate Jorge Hank Rhon early today, Tuesday, saying officials lacked evidence to charge him with illegal weapons possession after a military raid on his house.
