Profeco cites 916 tortilla makers
Sentido Comun - Verifications by the Federal Consumer Protection agency (Profeco) to prevent abusive trading practices among to tortilla factories cited 916 for violations, mainly for not displaying prices and scale irregularities.
Mexican airlines' passenger load increases in June
Sentido Comun - Mexico's airlines carried a total of 2.1 million passengers in the domestic market during June, which represented a growth of 1.4 percent over the same month last year. The international market segment shrank 1 percent.
Citrus exports increase 15% in first five months
Sentido Comun - Mexico's citrus exports grew 15 percent in the first five months of the year. The citrus exports that increased the most in 2010 were grapefruit, with an annual growth of 109 percent, and lemon, with an increase of 62 percent.
Most Nafinsa loans are to small and medium businesses
Sentido Comun - Nacional Financiera (Nafinsa), Mexico's largest state bank, reported that most of its total loan portfolio in commercial banking goes to small and medium enterprises. This year 611,000 small and medium enterprises got Nafinsa loans.
Pemex plans to upgrade Salamanca refinery
Sentido Comun - State oil monopoly Petroleos Mexicanossaid it plans to invest $3 million to upgrade its refinery in Salamanca and is preparing contracts for the work, which will increase production at 56,000 barrels per day.
International reserves continue to climb

Exports and imports continue rise in June

Debate continues on border death after rock attack
