Oz Minerals seeks 70% stake in Mexico project

Suit filed in U.S. over Grupo Mexico mine blast
Dow Jones - A U.S. labor group said Thursday that it has filed a lawsuit against mining company Grupo Mexico and several of its subsidiaries on behalf of three widows of miners who died in a 2006 coal mine explosion. The filing comes on the fourth anniversary of the Feb. 19, 2006, explosion at Grupo Mexico's Pasta de Conchos mine in Coahuila. Sixty-five miners died.
Cananea miners refusing to leave premises
El Semanario - Since several Cananea miners remain on the premises, Labor Secretary Javier Lozano warned that Grupo Mexico, which owns themining concession, could file suit against the miners if they refuse to leave in the coming days. The miners have said they will not honor a court decision declaring their 2 1/2-year strike illegal.
