2010 ULI Mexico Annual Conference
Building the Future in an Era of Change:
Trends and Opportunities for Mexico Real Estate
November 3 – 5, 2010
A special one-day Workshop is being organized on an “invitation-only” basis for attendees at the forthcoming ULI Mexico Annual Conference.
As throughout North America, the resort real estate (and tourism) industry in Mexico is in a state of transition. Some developments are realizing success, but a larger portion are encountering challenges in their financial performances. The economic problems of the U.S. have extended to Mexico consumers’ motivations, lifestyles and discretionary decision-making are constantly changing; new products and opportunities are forever being introduced and demanded, etc.
In light of these challenges and opportunities, the primary purpose of the Workshop is to bring the concept of “best practices” to the Mexico resort real estate industry. Such “best practices range from setting the proper foundation in terms of product, pricing and positioning, to making realistic financial projections, to financing, to marketing, to sales, to operations, to monitoring and beyond. Best practices employ state-of-the-art approaches to all components that make up a successful resort in today’s ever-changing conditions.
The organizers and primary speakers at the Workshop are widely respected throughout North America and beyond for their professional experience in the resort real estate industry. They reside in both Mexico and the U.S. Collectively; they have over 200 years of applied expertise.
They include officers of Leisure Partners, Ragatz Associates, Baker Hostetler / EGAO and The Big Idea Company. Additional speakers are included from Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Bancomext, Interval International and Rockwood Asociados.
Place: Banyan Tree Mayakoba Hotel
