Mining investment rose 69% to $5.6 billion in 2011

Bloomberg - Investments by mining companies in Mexico surged 69 percent to $5.6 billion last year, more than a March estimate of $4.3 billion to $4.5 billion. Mining companies will probably invest about $7.6 billion in 2012.
