Pemex 1st quarter profit rises to $2.6 billion

Dow Jones - Mexico's state-owned oil company Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex, said Wednesday that its net profit rose in the first quarter to 33.9 billion pesos ($2.6 billion) compared with 1.5 billion pesos in the year-ago period, mostly on higher oil prices.

Firm applies to import radioactive waste from Mexico
