Bioenergy insight - Algae producer Aquaviridis has joined forces with OriginOil to develop a new technology that extracts oil from the algae and will develop this multi-phase production at its Mexicali site in Mexico.

Nissan confirms plans to build $2 billion plant in Mexico
Detroit News - Nissan Motor Co. confirmed it will build a $2 billion plant in Mexico to initially build 175,000 small cars annually. The factory will be the Japanese automaker's third in Mexico. It will begin production in late 2013.

El Universal - The auto parts industry said that the sector created 600,000 jobs and generated $65 billion in both domestic production and exports during 2011, while acknowledging that a downturn will affect production this year.

Industrial production rises slightly in November
Sentido Comun - Industrial production rose at a seasonally adjusted 0.11 percent in November against October, the second in three months. In annual terms, industrial production rose 3.2 percent in November over the same month last year.
